iPod and Pacemaker Malfunction
It seems that another bad news for iPod has just been reported. A study gathered by a 17 year old student (probably a genius
) that an iPod could cause pacemaker implants to malfunction. This this based on what I’ve recently read at engadget. In my opinion this study should be carefully study by the experts, who knows this could be really true! By the way a pacemaker is an electronic device implanted beneath the skin for providing a normal heartbeat by electrical stimulation of the heart muscle, used in certain heart conditions.
According to student Jay Thaker, the findings of his study showed that of 100 installed pacemakers, electrical interference was detected 50% of the time when an iPod was held at a distance of 2-inches from the chest for 5-10 seconds.
