Big bucks on blogging

Is it really unethical if you get paid to blog? This has been an issue long before Payperpost was llaunched I guess. There are a lot of online companies today that offer consumer generated advertising just like ReviewMe, BlogVertise, BlogtoProfit, Payperpost and Blogitive. Payperpost suddenly became the talk of the blogging industry when Techcrunch made a statement about unethical blogging. I wonder if PPP did pay Techcrunch to blog about them. *LoL* The issue of unethical blogging was somewhat halted after these companies offer disclosure policies. Disclosure policy let bloggers disclose the purpose of a blog, in this way they are letting their readers know more about the information they’ll be reviewing or reading. Bloggers retain the freedom to write original content, as well as select which advertisers they will represent in exchange for gifts or money.

Is it really unethical for a blogger to get paid to blog? For me it’s a ‘NO’. Blogging means a personal thought published on a web page, so how come it’s unethical just because you were paid when you blog for something. Let’s face it blogging is one of the best source of online revenue these days. Most blogs out there have one or more sponsored and contextual advertisements. Payperpost recently released high paying opportunities and they also requires all their bloggers to write a full disclosure on their blogs. If you think getting paid to blog is unethical, then think again.
