24 Lead Man Jack Bauer Gadgets
Do you love Jack Bauer of 24? Here are some of Jack Bauer’s most-used anti-terrorist gear, everything from his watch to his phone to his bulletproof vest so you too can stop any threat to national security. Here are the list of his gadgets:
The Special Ops Watch ($450) is a super rugged and high tech timepiece worthy of any mission. It features an LED lightning system, tempered and scratch resistant crystal, carbon fiber dial, and ballistic nylon velcro band. The watch is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and comes with an electro magnetic induction charger. Its LED system has an internal mode for dial illumination, and an external mode for map reading or distress signals which can be seen up to a mile away in the dark.
The Treo 650, but following the terrific “jugular escape” scene this season, we see Jack break into an old-school Caprice and confiscate this Sprint-Nextel phone. The Motorola i880 ($50 after rebate and service plan) boasts a 2.0 megapixel camera/camcorder, Walkie-Talkie features, GPS capabilities, Internet microbrowser, voice dialing and voice recorder. It’s also got a microSD card slot to store MP3s, which can be played back on the built-in dual-ported stereo speakers in stereo sound. Plus, the i880 has AgION antimicrobial coating to protect the phone’s surfaces from damaging bacteria.
Jack always seems to have his trusty monocular with him to survey the terrorist situation from afar. At only 3.3-inches long, the lightweight and compact Echo Pocket Scope Monocular from Brunton ($30) can be stashed in any pocket and magnifies your view seven times.
Unless you’re a cop or a famous rapper, you’re probably not going to have much use for this one. According to 24 insiders, Jack has been strapping on the Second Chance Apex Vest ($75) for several seasons now. The vest features fully adjustable POWERNet straps for breathability, personalized fit and maximum comfort. Oh, and you’ll need some bulletproof armor ($460) to go inside. Unless, that is, you’re an actor filming a TV drama and everyone is shooting blanks.
Other gear you might find rattling around in the bottom of the Jack Pack: SureFire Z2 Combatlight ($93), Hand Cuffs ($20), the confession-inducing Microtech Tactical Halo III Automatic Knife ($340), and some amber-tinted Aviator sunglasses ($113). Via Uncrate
