Saddam Hussein’s participation for the killing of almost 148 Iraqis’ sentenced him to death.
It was ruled out and finalized today that Ex- Iraqi President Saddam Hussein be hanged within 36 hours. His sentence, handed down last month, ordered that he be hanged within 30 days. I’ve read a news report about the threat given to the United States by some of Hussein’s followers saying that the United States will suffer “grave consequences” if Hussein is executed. But in spite of his death sentence, according to his farewell letter which was posted in his website, he called for the Iraqi people not to hate the U.S. led forces.

“I call on you not to hate because hate does not leave space for a person to be fair and it makes you blind and closes all doors of thinking,” the letter said.

So if the execution happens this coming Sunday, the New Year for the Iraqis will gonna be really a ‘Prosperous New Year or could be worst’.
