MAUREEN MARCELO First Philippine Idol

I knew MAUREEN MARCELO (Mau) could make it! With her very powerful voice, she should have been a contract star long before the Philippine idol was held in the Philippines. Maureen Marcelo have already competed and won a lot of singing competitions and she has gathered almost 200 trophies. I could say that here in the Philippines it is really hard to please the audiences, unless you have talent+beauty. If you lack one of those, then you’ll have 50/50 chance to be accepted in the entertainment industry, not unless you want to become one of those artist, actors and singers that was being dragged and made fun of by big stars in front of the camera, - remember Pokwang? Then i guess you know what i’m saying here. Many criticized Maureen Marcelo not because she has a bad voice, but because she’s not that pretty, I was glad the insult and criticism can not hinder her fans to vote. I was really glad the sms voting was born. Maureen made it to the top, and tonight she was proclamed as the First Philippine Idol. Congratulations Maureen Marcelo.
