Shortbus is a 2006 US movie by director John Cameron Mitchell, presented out of competition in the 2006 Cannes movie festival. The movie is trying to ‘demystify’ sex by explicitly showing it on the screen in several scenes. Shortbus casts were mostly amateurs.

The film opens with James masturbating furiously before Jamie gets home, Rob and Sofia running through a gallery of positions like they’re proofing the Kama Sutra with an imminent deadline and Severin beating the hell out of an annoying-yet-appealing client in a hotel suite overlooking Ground Zero. Many critized this film as “porno film, sex is a guiding narrative device, etc.” But we all know such criticisms will just lead more viewers to watch this film:mrgreen:
