Philippine Idol is the Philippine franchise of the Idol series. The franchise was awarded by Fremantle Media, 19 Entertainment and CKX, Inc. to Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC), which also incidentally broadcasts American Idol and World Idol in the Philippines. Just like the premise of the original show Pop Idol, Philippine Idol aims to find the best young singer in the country.
