Competition sucks in Philippine TV networks
Inq7.net: ABS-CBN in turn announced that it was developing its own franchise-based search for outstanding young singers, to be titled “Pinoy Dream Academy.”
Instead of fast-tracking the start of the competition proper of its “Philippine Idol” show, however, ABC-5 continued to bide its time, telecasting a detailed coverage of its initial audition phases.
Despite its advantage in terms of time, it, in effect, allowed “Dream Academy” to catch up. So, as of this writing, we now have the strange spectacle of “Philippine Idol” still to announce its final 12 bets, while on Aug. 26, “Dream Academy” will start its contest proper after choosing its 16 scholars from 38 semifinalists.
Competition sucks. Philippine Idol is not yet on its final stage then here’s ABS CBNs’ Pinoy Dream Academy tailing on. Anyway, i’ll just wait for the main event and get myself ready to blog. Hope my two female bets get a good spot, both in PBB and Philippine Idol.
