My Girl: Lee Da-hae and Park Si Yeon

The beautiful star, Lee Da-hae! After her successful run on the drama, My Girl, she’s been the apple of the public’s eye. Today’s STAR FOCUS is on Lee Da-hae!

We caught up with the bright-eyed actress at the location of a luxury brand fashion show. Excitement filled the air as Lee Da-hae and Lee Joon-ki got paired together again, after an ill-fated romance on their drama.

Many cameras filled the area, also because Lee had been out of the spotlight for some time. She smiled expertly into the camera and looked more relaxed than we had seen her in a while.

The drama, My Girl, may be over, but her character is still alive in people’s minds. Lee Da-hae played Joo Yoo-rin, a swindler that audiences couldn’t help but love. Lee had flung off her usual graceful, refined on-screen image, to portray this sweet, wacky, and comical character. The results were more than satisfactory.

When Lee Da-hae starred in the drama, Heaven’s Fate, she perfected the role of a female shaman. A rookie when she started the drama, Lee’s convincing performance shot her instantly to “leading lady” status. So it was no wonder that Heaven’s Fate held a special place in her heart.

When Gong-chan (Lee Dong-wook) meets the lively and beautiful Yu-rin (Lee Da-hae), he notices the resemblance between her and his long-lost cousin, whom his dying grandfather has been searching for. He hires Yu-rin to stand in for his missing cousin as a final gesture to his grandfather - but his own growing feelings for her threaten to ruin everything. The real drama begins when Gong-chan’s ex-girlfriend, a pro tennis star (played by Park Si-yeon), enters the scene determined to win him back.

My Girl was a Top Ten hit in Korea in 2006, aided by the appearance of hot new actor Lee Jun-ki. The King and The Clown star plays Jung-woo, an unscrupulous playboy who sets his sights on Yu-rin. Can Gong-chan protect Yu-rin from Jung-woo’s advances? Can he help fulfill his grandfather’s dying wish? And what will happen if his real cousin is finally discovered? All will be revealed in the hit K-drama “My Girl”!
