Tiger Wood won 5th PGA Tour
SI.com - Tiger’s average margin of victory in 12 major wins is 4.78 strokes — more than one shot per round. He piled up most of that edge in three events, winning the 2000 U.S. Open by 15, the 1997 Masters by 12 and the 2000 British Open by eight. Two of his wins came in playoffs.
Tiger Woods was the first to win a PGA twice on the same course ; Medinah in ‘99 and ‘06. He locked up his eighth PGA Player of the Year title, which is based on a points system. His three PGA titles mean only Walter Hagen and Nicklaus, who won it five times, have more PGAs. This is the seventh time in his 11 seasons on the PGA Tour that he’s racked up at least five wins.
